...they could do stuff like this:

Drop the HP paper and replace it with stuff that prints like shit, so they can save 20 cents a square foot.

Or they can "upgrade" the firmware on the HPz6100 printer so that the magenta printhead fires late, screwing up red areas.

And then they could allow you to upgrade the media profiles for the 6100, but not the ICC color profiles.

Heck, they could produce a new sample book for the counter, and have paper that isn't available in ePro.

Even toss in some typos in ePro, so that you don't get what you order.

Oh, wait.

They already do that?

Never mind.

With 3 other centers and one compact car sharing jobs with us, our share is always 0%. At least with other centers sending us stuff, we get a small piece of the pie.

Some stuff I understand, like banners. But there's also "we're out of supplies, the equipment is down, blah, blah, blah."

So the job uses *our* labor, *our* supplies, not to mention the time involved figuring out and fixing the job and calling the originating centers because the files are screwed up during pre-flight.

Oh, and they need it this afternoon, delivered.

For this we get nothing?

Or is there a magic corporate metric that adjusts for this?

Learned a lot (have read this site before accepting job), and getting a good feel for what is *really* going on.
